BACKGROUND
In the business world, professionals cannot avoid negotiation. In facts, everyday we are dealing with
negotiation ranging for various purposes from schedule to budget and eventually strategic decision.
Unfortunately, negotiation is not something we learn in school or university. Negotiation requires skills as we
build rapport and communicate with the opponents. Also, it involves techniques and scenario or the flow of the
negotiation process. Both are very important for the success of the negotiation and the achievement of its
purposes. Without developed abilities and careful planning, someone may become a victim of negotiation.
OBJECTIVES
- Developed necessary skills required to conduct negotiation process including communication, reading gesture and building rapport to impress the negotiation opponents.
- Developed capabilities in applying negotiation techniques in the right situation and time to control the negotiation process effectively.
- Developed capabilities in applying negotiation scenarios to ensure the achievement of negotiation objectives.
METHODS
This program uses experiential learning method where the participant will be equipped with concept,
techniques and tools delivered communicatively by a subject matter expert in this field. The development of
participant's capabilities will be enhanced by the discussion of cases and examples provided audiovisually. Best
practice and sharing experience will also be delivered to ensure the best learning results. Learning experience
will be achieved with role play equipped with clear guidance and comprehensive evaluation to prepare the
participant as ready as possible to deal with the real life challenges.
