WiMAX RF Planning

Course Objectives
This course provides a detailed technical insight of WIMAX RF Planning. It is an advanced course reviewing the technical specifications and standards from an RF Network Planning and Implementation point of view.The course provides an overview of WIMAX RF, technologies, applications and standards. Other important topics such as protocol layers, QoS, throughput, coverage, capacity planning, testing, interoperability, interference and security are discussed. Basic RF theory, microwave, LOS, NLOS, Link budget math, troubleshooting foundations and site survey are explored. The RF planning covers both the IEEE 802.16d and IEEE 802.16e standards.
